Ah, star trek, star trek, star trek. I watched this like pretty much every nerd and pretty much any kid who had BBC2. I watched the film yesterday and the time, after all the adrenaline was thinking THIS...IS....EPIC but after a nights sleep, maybe I've calmed down a bit.The truth is, yes I would recommend it, its intriguing as its not some sexed up remake, won't say anything to spoil it but it's an interesting twist. It's funny, light laughs of course, CGI to a sensible amount. that may sound stupid but this is one of the big franchises, so its understandable if it went the way of star wars but like many they've learnt.
I think its an interesting group to play the characters. Simon Pegg was very funny, Kirk was good and Spock was a laugh. it's a very above average summer blockbuster.
